Camera catches Matt Rempe taunting Florida Panthers
Matt Rempe has added energy since being inserted into the lineup late during the New York Rangers season and now it appears as he's gone along, that he's learning to play the part of villain well, by taunting the opponent nearly as well as he was taunted early in his career.
During a break in play Tuesday night, cameras caught Rempe wagging his finger at Florida Panthers veteran Kyle Okposo and at first glance you have to wonder what he's doing, but then you realize he's doing exactly what his veteran teammates and coaches have taught him to do. If you can't physically push back, then you might as well do your best to taunt your opponent.
During his young career, the twenty-one year old has preached that he's enjoying every moment afforded to him and he's just grateful to be part of the New York Rangers and their success this season and although he's made some questionable decisions that have cost him and his Rangers teammates a times, he's added much needed toughness and quite a bit of value to a team that historically has struggled to find any sort of identity, especially during playoff time.
Even though Rempe is with the Rangers to do a specific job, it's great to see him enjoying himself during candid moments the camera has picked up. While a long career isn't guaranteed, if he keeps this up, their is no limit to where he will end up.
