Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk was not happy with Buffalo Sabres forward Alex Tuch towards the final few minutes of Tuesday's game.

As Brady Tkachuk was leaving the zone, Alex Tuch stuck out his backside to hit the Senators forward. Tkachuk immediately got up and dropped the gloves to take on Tuch.

With Tkachuk letting his emotions getting the best of him, he clearly wasn't thinking of the repercussions he could face for instigating a fight that late in a game and it looks as if the Senators captain will be suspended for one game.

NHL rule 46.21 stats that any player who is given an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period will be suspended for one game.

Additionally, Senators Head Coach DJ Smith will reportedly be handed a $10,000 fine.

Post Media's Bruce Garioch is reporting that the Senators plan on appealing the decision to the NHL. Based on the video below, it may be hard for them to win their case.

"Per NHL rule 46.21, Brady Tkachuk is set to be suspended for 1 game for receiving an instigator penalty in the last 5 minutes of regulation, while Head Coach DJ Smith would receive a $10,000 fine.

#GoSensGo    will be appealing this ruling, per @SunGarrioch."

If Tkachuk does end up being suspended, he'll miss Thursday's game against the New York Islanders, but will be eligible to return to the lineup on Saturday when the Senators face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
