Pittsburgh Penguins defender knocks himself out during his first NHL game
Your NHL debut is supposed to be a game that you remember for your entire life. Unfortunately for 23-year-old defender John Ludvig, if he remembers tonight it will be for all the wrong reasons.
In the first period of tonight's game Ludvig tried to throw a hit on a Stars forward Radek Faksa. Unfortunately on the hit it appears Ludvig's head collides with Faksa and the defender falls hard to the ice. Ludvig is motionless on the ice before finally beginning to stir.
Ludvig is eventually helped off the ice and returned to the locker room where he entered concussion protocol.
