Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk called Pittsburgh Penguins 2019 first-rounder 'Megamind' from the bench as scrum ensues during last night's Kraft Hockeyville game.

The season is quickly approaching and we've seen the temperature to rise on the ice over the weekend in numerous preseason games including Montreal/Toronto on Saturday and again last night as the Senators and Penguins did battle in the 2024 Kraft Hockeyville.

This year's contest was won by Elliott Lake, Ontario, but the game was played 160 kilometers east in Sudbury to allow more fans to watch. Both the Penguins and Senators brought some star power to the game with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang in the lineup for Pittsburgh, while Ottawa had Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stutzle, Thomas Chabot and several over regulars on their roster.

Approaching the halfway mark of the third period, a scrum broke out with 34 penalty minutes handed out. Boko Imama dropped the mitts with Jan Jenik, while Penguins 2019 first-rounder Sam Poulin was going at it with Zack MacEwen, which irked Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk.

"Oh now you drop 'em? You got to be f**king kidding me! You got the f**king biggest head ever! F**cking Megamind!" Tkachuk could be heard saying from the bench.

Brady Tkachuk had ample opportunity to drop the mitts during the game, if he wished and could have earlier on in the night when Dan Renouf was trying to get him to fight, but the Senators captain wanted nothing to do with it.

The Senators would go on to lose the game by a score of 5 to 2, with Evgeni Malkin picking up a hat trick and Sidney Crosby tallying a pair of goals in the victory for the Pittsburgh Penguins. The two teams will meet again on December 14th in Canada's capital.
