Gauthier Finally Speaks On Getting Traded
Cutter Gauthier finally Breaks his silence about getting traded from the Philadelphia Flyers to the Anaheim Ducks.
19 year old NHL prospect Cutter Gauthier should have been more upfront about not wanting to be a member of the Philadelphia Flyers organization, instead his lack of action on the matter led to the internet getting to cohort a story.
Anthony SanFilippo, a writer and podcast host for Crossing Broad (a Philadelphia based sports blog) speculated that former Flyer Kevin Hayes was heavily involved in the trade that led to the American leaving town.
This was all the internet needed as Kevin Hayes received death threats and had horrible things said about his late brother Jimmy from the trolls on social media.
Gauthier was on the Light the Lamp podcast with host Alexis Downie, clearing the air on Kevin Hayes speculation while still wanting to remain private on his part of things that led to him getting traded.
If only Gauthier would have taken one of the many meetings offered to him by members of the Flyers organization, this whole mess could have been avoided. This should be a lesson to learn from for Gauthier. The young man has the talent to have a bright future showing it recently at the World Junior tournament for team USA. He helped lead the way to a gold medal scoring 10 points in the 7 games played.
