Philadelphia Flyers looking to move on from heart and soul player who has given everything to the franchise
The Philadelphia Flyers need a major shakeup after spending most of last season at the bottom of the eastern conference, and it looks like just that could be coming.
According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, the Flyers are looking to move on from one time big free agent get Kevin Hayes, especially after there was considerable interest around him at the trade deadline; take a look.
The Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild were some teams that checked in on Hayes around the deadline this season. With the off-season in full swing for the Flyers, it looks like they want a deal done for Hayes.
Hayes, 31, is coming off of one of his best NHL seasons in which he played in 81 games scoring 18 goals and adding 36 assists for a total of 54 points, 1 point off of setting a career-high.
If the Flyers are going to move him, now would be the time, but moving his contract may be more challenging than some think.
