On Sunday, 24 hours after John Tortorella went after the officials in a press conference, the rookie Matvei Michkov was ejected after a massive scrum in the game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Utah Hockey Club.
In the final minute of the game, Michkov didn't shy away from throwing a few punches and thrash-talking his opponents despite being surrounded by referees.
Watch how it went down in the following video:
After the scrum, he was sent to the locker room and he did something we don't often see in the NHL.
On his way to the locker room, he stopped to sign an autograph to a fan.
Check it out:
Someone who was attending the game revealed that a kid asked Michkov for an autograph at the start of the third period, and the player told him he would do it after the game.
When he was ejected, Michkov didn't think he'd get the chance to do it after the game, so he stopped to do it on his way to the bench.

Most people agree that it was a great moment for the kid and the player.
The only thing is that his head coach John Tortorella, who's known for his old-school style, didn't see it when it happened, and learned it from a reporter in a press conference.
Tortorella seemed surprised and had another great reaction.

Tortorella can't be too angry with his star rookie. The 20-year-old forward is on a point-per-game pace, with 27 points in 27 games, the highest total among this year's rookies.
Last night, in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, he had two assists, including this one, where he showed great skills on Morgan Frost's goal:
The Flyers jumped to fourth place in the Metropolitan Division, now boasting a 13-12-4 record. The team will be back on the ice tomorrow against the Detroit Red Wings.
