The Philadelphia Flyers are going to lose one of their top Alexei Kolosov and the real reason he's leaving has been revealed, it doesn't make the Flyers look good.
Earlier this off-season, there was a report that the Philadelphia Flyers were going to lose their top goaltending prospect Alexei Kolosov after he had just joined the organization with the Flyers AHL affiliate the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, so much so that he Kolosov had asked his KHL club for help to find a way out of his entry level contract. Now we know why.
According to Tony Androckitis of Inside AHL Hockey, the reason Kosolov has asked for a way out of his contract with the Flyers is because of his lonely and isolated he has become since he had come to North America.
Per AHL source, Alexei Kolosov told #Flyers at the end of his stint w/ Lehigh Valley he did not want to return
"They put him in the hotel by himself & he felt isolated, especially since his English isn't great"
Explains the AHL deals for Gahagen & Petruzzelli.

If the Flyers put him in a hotel room by himself and offered him no support whatsoever, it's not hard to imagine why he would feel isolated and uncomfortable. You'd think the organization would insulate Kosolov and try to support him any way they could.
