Penguins place 27-year-old forward on waivers
The Pittsburgh Penguins have placed a 27-year-old forward on waivers today in what is somewhat of a surprise move after he just returned to the team.
After a few days of inactivity on the waiver wire, the Pittsburgh Penguins have decided to place a forward for the purpose of AHL assignment.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Penguins have placed 27-year-old forward Radim Zohorna on waivers.
"Placed on NHL waivers today: Radim Zohorna (PIT)."
Zohorna, a native of Havlickuv, Czechia, was originally with the Penguins for two seasons after coming over from Europe, before moving on to Toronto and Calgary.
Last summer, he returned to the Penguins and has recorded seven points (four goals, three assists), 16 penalty minutes and has an even-rating in 31 games this season.
Do you think Zohorna will be claimed off waivers on Wednesday? Let us know your thoughts in the poll below!
