St. Louis Blues place forward on unconditional waivers for contract termination
As the NHL season continues on Wednesday, the waiver wire has quieted down significantly, but one name has landed on the list for October 11th.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the St. Louis Blues have placed forward Andre Heim on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.
Heim, 25, signed with the Blues back in May out of Europe as he's spent the last six seasons in Switzerland's top division, National League.
Last season, Heim appeared in 42 games for HC Ambri-Piotta where he had 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists), eight penalty minutes and was a plus-ten.
If Heim clears unconditional waivers on Thursday at 2 p.m. ET, he'll become an unrestricted free agent and will likely be heading back to Switzerland for the rest of the 2023-24 season.
