A former NHLer reportedly had money stolen from his bank account by financial advisor during his playing career.

Former NHL defenceman Chris Pronger recently shared a video clip from his 'Finance Friday' segment on Instagram where he revealed that one of his ex-teammates with the St. Louis Blues, Tyson Nash, had money stolen from his bank account during his career from a financial advisor.

"Another one that happened, Tyson Nash. You have probably never heard of it, I didn't know about it until he told me. He was incredibly embarrassed. His money manager embezzled money from him, stole money right out of his account. Thinking he had more money than he did. Fell into a depression, had no idea what he was going to do until his lovely wife Kathy smacked him around a little and got him to wake up." Pronger said.

Pronger went on to add that Tyson Nash was able to get back up on his feet and used what money he had remaining in his bank account to invest in a company called Orange Theory Fitness, which has over 1,500 locations across 24 countries.

Nash was able to sell and is now doing very well for himself financially and has been able to figure out the right things to do with his money and on the business side of things, Pronger says.

"They both showed incredible perseverance, grit, hard work to pick themselves up. He actually told me that he thought it was the best thing that ever happened to him. He had a nice little nest egg of 2 million bucks that he probably would have sat on and massaged a little and lived a nice comfortable life. Instead, I think he said he had $200,000 left in his bank account invested it all on a company, I think you've heard of it, called Orange Theory. Did incredibly well, sold that business and the rest is history for the Nash's. They're doing incredibly well, very successful and have now figured out the finance game and the business game and taking that grit and perseverance and toughness that he played with and has brought that to the business side. Him and his wife are doing incredibly well and very proud of them." Pronger said.

This story told by Chris Pronger is just another case where it shows that it's hard to trust people in life, whether it be with money, like Tyson Nash's situation, or with personal information. It's never easy to trust people and it's great to see that Tyson Nash was able to get back on his feet and is doing well for himself these days.
