Photography Assistant Accidentally Struck With Puck By St Louis Blues Player, Shows Off The Damages
Being a professional photographer for the NHL seems like it would be a pretty great job. You get to take in a professional hockey game, while in prime seats up close to the action, and getting paid while doing it.
Photography assistant Lexie Knight works with the St. Louis Blues and found out first hand some risks of the job.
Blues forward Nathan Walker was taking shots at warm-ups. One of his shots hit the crossbar and sailed over the glass making contact with Knight. Unfortunately, the photography assistant needed some stitches.
It turned out to be a feel good story in the end as Knight received a signed stick and a new Blues sweater without the bloodstains.
The 30 year old, Walker has found himself bounced between the NHL and AHL with the St. Louis Blues roster since signing with the Blues in 2019. Last season he played a career high 56 games scoring 10 points. Walker has been scoring more this season, in 19 games he has scored 5 goals and 7 points. His play earned himself a contract extension in January, a two-year contract, worth $775k per season.
