The NHL season has been over for most teams for under 2 weeks. We've already seen multiple head coaches relieved of their head coaching duties. Today once again the San Jose Sharks announced that they have officially fired head coach David Quinn.

The move comes as a surprise given that the Sharks built one of the worst rosters in modern-day NHL history. The team performed exactly how it was constructed finishing dead last in the NHL. This season San Jose finished with just 47 points.

The #SJSharks    have fired head coach David Quinn.

Quinn had spent 2 years with the Sharks and had posted a record of 41-97-25 in his time in San Jose. This was the second job of Quinn's NHL career and in his time in the NHL he has yet to make the playoffs.

The failures of the Sharks however, do not fall on Quinn as their roster was clearly flawed and the team clearly wanted to enter a rebuild. Now, the e Sharks will embark on that rebuild with their first order of business being to find a new head coach.
