Tanner Jeannot, who the Lightning paid a massive price to get at the trade deadline from the Nashville Predators, said he was suffering from a high ankle sprain, which left him out of Games 5 and 6.
Michael Eyssimont was dealing with concussion-like symptoms during the series, but made it known to reporters on Tuesday that he was cleared to return to action for Game 5.
Erik Cernak, who was hit in the head by Toronto's Michael Bunting in Game 1, was dealing with a concussion, but says he is progressing but wasn't cleared to return just yet.
Star defenceman Victor Hedman says he was suffering from hip impingement, which he sustained in Game 1, causing him to play only 6:35 in the series' opening game. He would go on to miss Game 2, but returned for Game 3 and played the rest of the series.
Finally, Brayden Point, who didn't miss a single game during the series against Toronto, said that he had a rib cage cartilage fracture. Point played over 19 minutes per game in the series, with the only exception coming in Game 2 where he skated in 17:46.
The Lightning will have some tough decisions to make in the off-season and it will be interesting to see if they issue any contract extension offers to players who are set to become UFA's in 2024, including captain Steven Stamkos.
