The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning are squaring off in what is a first round playoff preview. Even though the Leafs are resting their stars, it didn't take long for the hostilities between the two rivals to renew.
With the first period winding down, Luke Schenn and Pat Maroon decided to throw down, take a look:

After getting aquatinted in the corner, Schenn and Maroon start getting after it with Schenn landing the bulk of the shots and finishing Maroon off as well.
Moments after that, Mikhail Sergachev lit up John Tavares with his head down causing a scrum to end the first period.

If there was any doubt about the animosity between the two sides heading into the playoffs, it's been dispelled.
The hate is full bodied and flowing through the teams and this is really just a tune-up. I can't imagine what the hate level will be next week.
