Once again, a controversial NHL video review is making headlines. It's not always the case, but this time, everyone seems to agree that the referees didn't make the right call.
It all happened in the game between the Winnipeg Jets and the Tampa Bay Lightning. During the first period, the Lightning scored a goal on Connor Hellebuyck and the Jets decided to challenge it.
In the replay, we can clearly understand why. The Lightning's young forward Conor Geekie uses his stick to push Hellebuyck's pad. The goalie ended up in his net, and Brandon Hagel easily shot the puck behind the goal line to score his seventh goal of the season.

Once again this season, there's a lack of consistency in the NHL's decision for video reviews. It seems this issue keeps coming back year after year, but nothing changes.
How is it possible to see a player push a goaltender and not see goalie interference? The League needs to explain its decision if it wants to avoid further backlash on what seems to be an obvious mistake.
