Auston Matthews appears to be growing tired of Toronto media gives a snarky answer to a reporter
Auston Matthews has struggled at times this season with both injury and production. Matthews who scored 60 goals last season is barely on pace to break 40 goals this seasons. After yesterday's practice, Sheldon Keefe pulled both Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews aside for a discussion.
During his media availability Matthews was asked about the post practice conversation and he had the following to say.
Mark, that's none of your business honestly. I'll keep it between us.
While it's clear that this question is never going to get answered it's surprising that Matthews chose to answer it this way. With the Maple Leafs already locked into their first round matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Matthews will get an opportunity to finally drag the Maple Leafs out of the first round.
