Former NHLER calls out Kyle Dubas, not for the reason you think
With the dust settling around the Toronto Maple Leafs as they continue their search for a new general manager, it hasn't stopped fans and former players from calling out ex-GM Kyle Dubas.
Recently on the Spittin' Chicklets podcast, former NHL player Ryan Whitney had this to say about Dubas and his departure from the Maple Leafs front office; take a look:
While Dubas during his last presser is a member of the Maple Leafs said he would only work for them or take a year off, the things that have followed have surely said otherwise.
Mere days after it was revealed his contract wouldn't be renewed, he started surfacing in rumours for the Pittsburgh Penguins job.
As much some fans thought he was genuine at his presser, it appears that Whitney is right. Words only take you so far, it's the actions that actually tell the whole story.
At this point, it's fair to say Dubas pulled a fast one on anyone who thought he was genuine before leaving the Maple Leaf organization and Ryan Whitney who is famous for telling it like it is was right.
