Toronto Maple Leafs fan arrested following Saturday's Game 6 victory for one of the dumbest reasons possible
The Toronto Maple Leafs are into the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2004 and their fans went wild on Saturday night while celebrating the victory.
A lot of fans filed into the streets of Downtown Toronto, causing traffic disruptions including to the city's buses and streetcars which were heavily delayed, but one fan went WAY too far.
According to CP24, Toronto Police arrested a man on Saturday night for public intoxication as well as for slapping a police horse on its hind legs. The fan was taken to a downtown jail and once he sobered up, he was released and given a Provincial Offence Notice.
It's always great to celebrate your favourite team's success, especially in the playoffs, and it's easy to get caught up in the moment. But it's always important to remember not to go too far and do something you might regret, like slapping a police horse and spending time in the drunk tank.
The Maple Leafs will open up their second round series against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena at 7 p.m. ET.
