Toronto Maple Leafs make emergency backup goalie's dreams come true

The Toronto Maple Leafs played the Montreal Canadiens tonight in what would turn out to be a 7-1 blowout victory. Earlier in the day because they were cap strapped, the Leafs had to sign University goaltender Jett Alexander to an amateur try out to back up Samsonov.

With the game out of hand and a 1:10 left on the clock in the 3rd period, Alexander got the call, take a look at this amazing moment:

As soon as Alexander came off the bench, the crowd erupted in a roar that you almost never hear in Toronto.

Even if he didn't face a shot, this will for sure be a night that Alexander remembers for the rest of his life. It's may have only been a minute and 10 seconds, this is a wicked occurrence.
