The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to try to beef up the team's options between the pipes by signing a goaltender. Veteran netminder Martin Jones, 33, has been signed to a one-year deal worth $875,000.
Jones will be along side Ilya Samsonov, Joseph Woll, and some younger guys when training camp opens in September. It has already been announced that Matt Murray will start the season on the long-term injured reserve list.
Jones has played for LA, San Jose, Philadelphia, and the Seattle Kraken throughout his career. He has his name on the Stanley Cup for being part of the Kings roster in 2013-14
