Tyler Bertuzzi leaves the Leafs for personal reasons
Tyler Bertuzzi was noticeably absent from the Toronto Maple Leafs practice this morning leaving many to question why the veteran forward wasn't on the ice.
As the Toronto Maple Leafs took the ice for practice this afternoon, almost every member of the team was in attendance, except for forward Tyler Bertuzzi, who has left the team for the time being for personal reasons.
According to Leaf reporter David Alter, Bertuzzi has left the team for a few days as his wife is expecting a baby; take a look.

This is an amazing thing for the Bertuzzi family as the get ready to welcome their 2nd child. Some things are more important than hockey, this of course is one of those things.
There's no word yet on when Bertuzzi will return, but I would imagine the Leafs will give him the time he needs for welcoming his new child to the family.
