A couple of numbers point to a possible omen for Leafs season
With the Maple Leafs two most recent newly acquired roster signings choosing their jersey numbers, they add up to a surprising number many Leafs fans will be intrigued by.
Defenseman Joel Edmundson has gone with jersey number twenty. Forward Connor Dewar has chosen jersey number twenty-four. Interestingly, when combined side by side these numbers add up to this years season. 2024. Maybe this is a possible omen on this being the Leafs year to go all the way in the playoffs.
It was pretty evident that Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving wasn't going to make any huge splashes and decided he wanted to keep the teams high end prospects and draft picks instead of trading away the future.
Could these subtle, yet important additions to the Maple Leafs be enough to take them over their playoff humps and go all the way this season? Feel free to answer in the poll below!
