Ryan Reaves of the Toronto Maple Leafs rocked Pavel Zacha of the Boston Bruins in game 3 of their first round Stanley Cup Playoffs series.
Game 3 of the first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins is a big one, with the series tied at one game each. As such, both teams are looking to set the tone and make life difficult for each other as much as possible. Ryan Reaves of the Maple Leafs got in on the action.
In the first period of the game, Reaves caught Pavel Zacha of the Bruins looking down at the puck. While Zacha looked up at the last possible moment, it was too late. Reaves hit him hard, sending Zacha to the ice.
Meanwhile, Leafs defenseman Simon Benoit managed to land a good one on David Pastrnak of Boston just as he crossed over Toronto's blueline with the puck.
Fans at Scotiabank Arena appreciated the effort by both Reaves and Benoit, and let them know it.
"Standing ovation for Benoit hit on Pastrnak and Reaves hit on Zacha."
