The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the most storied teams in the NHL, and over the past century, they've featured some of the biggest names the sport of hockey has ever seen.
Not everyone can get to that level however, but they still remain part of the Maple Leafs family forever after donning the iconic Maple Leafs crest on their logo.
Unfortunately, the team have had to pass on some tragic news on Tuesday that former Leaf Larry McIntyre has passed away at aged 75, having played for the team between 1970 and 1973.
In that time, he took to the ice in 41 games for the team, and while he didn't make the expected impact, he had plenty of success elsewhere at the professional hockey level.
For the most part, that success came with the CHL and the Tulsa Oilers, with whom he played over 200 games, bringing home a title in his last professional hockey season in 1976.
McIntyre was a native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and while it didn't pan out for the former third-round pick in the NHL, it's safe to say that he had a fantastic career and a great, long life.
We join with the NHL in sending our condolences to the family, friends and former teammates of McIntyre, and we hope that during this exceedingly tough time they will find joy and happiness in the memories that Larry brought to them over the years.
