Toronto Maple Leafs sign 6'2 200 pound forward to three year deal
The Toronto Maple Leafs have 20 year old, Nikita Grebyonkin to a three-year entry level deal. Grebyonkin recently won the Gagarin Cup championship with Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
Taken in the fifth round, 135th overall during the 2022 NHL draft, Grebenkin would produce 19 goals and 41 points in 67 games last season. Grebenkin scored 3 goals and 6 points on the team's 23 game run to the championship in the KHL playoffs.
Per NHL Insider Chris Johnston, Grebyonkin's new entry-level deal will begin immediately, resulting in the first year of his ELC to fall off before every playing a single game with the franchise.
After a strong showing in his final KHL season, putting up over 40 points at only 20 years of age is a special feat. Leafs Nation should be excited about this future prospect.
