Boston Bruins most important player misses practice
Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand was absent from practice Monday morning as the team readies itself for their game 5 matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto at Scotia Bank Arena on Tuesday evening.
While no explanation for the absence has been released as of yet, it is likely being taken as a maintenance day, and he should be good to go tomorrow for puck drop.
Marchand, who has been a thorn in the side of the Maple Leafs throughout his career, has 8 points, including three goals and five assists in the first four games of the series.
Truth be told, the entire Maple Leafs roster has been unable to stop The Rat from producing, and although the entire Bruins organization has been better top to bottom during the series, it would be wise to figure out a way to stop Boston's captain from putting points on the board, getting under their skin, and drawing a penalty or two so he sits in the box a little more wouldn't hurt.
