Phil Kessel is one more the most color characters of the game in the last 20 years. His former teammates like Kris Versteeg, James van Riemsdyk and John-Michael Liles have been known to do some spot on impressions of the aging sniper. You can add Vegas Golden Knights Jack Eichel to the list of good Kessel impersonators.

Eichel was on the Empty Netters Podcast with hosts Chris and Dan Powers. Eichel was telling a story of how Kessel and Vegas teammate Jonathan Marchessault used to always bicker about who would win in a fight.

One night before a game the pair were in the dressing room flinching at each other, when the horseplay leads to an injury. Kessel and Marchessault collide head first with Marchessault needing repairs and leaving Phil with a goose egg.

Marchessault is in the trainers room getting fixed up when Phil walks in.

Eichel in the whiny Kessel voice:

"God damn it, eh. F*ckin Marchy headbutted me. Look at this massive egg I got on my head."

Eichel would go on to give Kessel's reaction from the boys in the dressing room.

"Phil was flopping around complaining about his groin. Everyone was like, is the ironman streak in jeopardy?"

Eichel revealed what Kessel's cure was for the pain.

"After the game were taking a train to Montreal and Phil was like my head is just killing me. I gotta have a couple cokes.»

Eichel reveals that Kessel put away 4-5 cokes in the two hour train ride from Ottawa to Montreal.
