No one seemed sure they could do it, but the Vegas Golden Knights have landed their man. Ivan Barbashev has been signed to a new five-year deal that carries an average annual vale of $5 million.
This is a big raise from the $2.25 million Barbashev was making this past season. However, analysts were estimating his price to be around $6 million on the open market. With that in mind, it seems the Knights got a discount on the 27-year-old forward.
