Kings and Sharks prospects drop the mitts in heavyweight tilt during rookie tournament
Rookie tournaments around the National Hockey League are in full swing including in Vegas, where six teams - the Golden Knights, Ducks, Sharks, Kings, Coyotes and Avalanche are doing battle.
With hockey being back, albeit just rookie tournaments and training camps, which begin next week, but we already have our first big fight.
Just under seven minutes remaining in the second period during Friday afternoon's game between Los Angeles and San Jose, Kings prospect Samuel Helenius and Sharks prospect Artem Guryev dropped the mitts in what turned out to be a heavyweight tilt.
In the spirited bout, which lasted about 15 seconds, both prospects got in several solid punches, but it was 6'6" Samuel Helenius that was able to tie up his combatant, Guryev, a 6'4" defenceman who played for the OHL's Peterborough Petes and Flint Firebirds last season.
Check out the video of the tilt below and let us know in the poll who you think won!
