Things get heated between the Vancouver Canucks and Los Angeles Kings as JT Miller drops the gloves with Adrian Kempe
Sometimes when a fight happens, it involves one players you don't expect. We're seeing that more and more across the National Hockey League this year. It's those you don't expect to drop the gloves that make for entertaining tilts.
Last night, the Vancouver Canucks took on the Los Angeles Kings on home ice. Down 1-0 to the Kings in the second period, things escalated between forwards JT Miller and Adrian Kempe, take a look:
It seems like Miller and Kempe had something going for most of the first and second period and finally decided to have a go off the draw with 3:26 remaining in the second.
After squaring off, Miller starts to unload on Kempe not really giving him a change to do much other than eat a barrage of punches coming his way.
To me, Miller was the clear winner of this fight, Kempe got a couple of shots in, but Miller carried most of the action and got Kempe really good a few times.
The Kings would hang on to win the game 3-2, but one would think with that fight, Miller energized his team.
