Tom Wilson takes on Mark Kastelic in heavyweight tilt in Ottawa
It was a light schedule in the National Hockey League on Wednesday night, with only two games including the Washington Capitals who took a trip up to Ottawa to take on the Senators.
The Senators came into the game looking for their third consecutive win and had a huge boost to the lineup with the return of Josh Norris, who contributed a pair of goals in his season debut.
With the Capitals down 5-1 late in the second period, frustrations began to boil over, with Washington forward Tom Wilson dropping the mitts with Ottawa Senators forward Mark Kastelic in a heavyweight tilt.
The tilt lasted roughly 30 second with both Wilson and Kastelic landing a few strong blows, before they were separated by the officials and because there was only a minute left in the middle frame, they were sent to their respective locker rooms. Wilson and Kastelic received five minutes each for fighting, while Wilson also got a two-minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct.
The Senators would go on to add another goal in the third period courtesy of Jake Sanderson, as Ottawa walked away with a big 6-1 win over the Capitals.
