Every time the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers face-off, you can pretty much guarantee there is going to be fireworks at some point. This time is no different, although this one took a little longer to heat up than anticipated.

During the second period of the game, the Panthers score a goal to make the game 3-1 and before they can even celebrate, all hell breaks loose; take a look.

Dmitry Kulikov gets a match penalty for an illegal check to the head AND Florida gets their goal waived off 😅

Right before the goal went in the net, Panthers defender Dmitry Kulikov hit Lightning forward Conor Sheary right in the side of the head.

As a result, as soon as the goal is scored, everyone pairs off and starts going at each other.

Kulikov would end up being assessed a 5 minute major and a game misconduct on the play, as well, the Panthers would have their goal wiped out.

The Department of Player Safety has been hit and miss this season, but you'd have to think they would take a look at that hit, at the very least
