Toronto Maple Leafs forward Cedric Pare continues to build a reputation for himself with another brutal fight this time in the AHL.

Earlier this preseason Maple Leafs forward Cedric Pare was the center of attention against the Montreal Canadiens.Pare's name became infamous after a knee-to-knee hit on Laine that forced the Canadiens star out of the lineup. Immediately after the hit Cedric Pare had to answer to Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj in a heavyweight fight.

In the aftermath of the play, fans were outraged that a player like Cedric Pare was even out there with Patrik Laine in a preseason game. The hit from Cedric Pare led Laine to now be away from the Montreal Canadiens for 2-3 months.

After that incident, Cedric Pare remained in the NHL for a while before being sent down to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. The move was not unexpected as Cedric Pare was always meant to be an AHL player in the long term. In his first taste of AHL action Cedric Pare again caused controversy with another fight.

Cedric Pare drops the gloves in his AHL season debut

The AHL preseason kicked off yesterday with several teams making their season debuts. One of those matchups was the Toronto Marlies against the Belleville Senators. During the game, Cedric Pare once again found himself in a physical altercation this time with Djibril Toure. Toure swiftly took down Pare and won the fight in dominant fashion. Now the focus will shift to the rest of the AHL season. Cedric Pare has built up a reputation as a pest and a player willing to fight so he could be in the news going forward plenty as the AHL's top enforcer.

With the season just about to begin it will be interesting to see how much more Cedric Pare makes his way into the news cycle with his fights and antics. He likely won't be able to earn a roster spot with the Toronto Maple Leafs who already employ Ryan Reaves but could keep himself relevant in the long run.
