Breaking - Colorado Avalanche star forward ruled out for the rest of the season
The Colorado Avalanche had hoped for the return of Gabriel Landeskog at so e point during their playoff run should they go deep, but they just received some devastating news
According to Chris Johnston of TSN, Landeskog will not return this year after having knee surgery, take a look:
The #avs have ruled captain Gabriel Landeskog out for the entire playoffs. He didn't play this season after undergoing knee surgery.
Landeskog hasn't played at all this season as a result of the knee surgery, but nonetheless, having his absence from thd lineup confirmed, after rumblings he might be working toward a return at some point in the playoffs is a tough pill to swallow.
Heading into the playoffs this year, the Avs have been decimated by injuries, for a team that had eyes on a repeat, as the injury list stands, that's looking like a distant dream at this point.
Losing your captain is just the cherry on top of the injury riddled cake.
