Alex Ovechkin is one most likely going to end his career as one of, if not the greatest scorer in National Hockey League history. He's currently trying to pass Wayne Gretzky. We're all watching and keeping tabs on his production, but it isn't where it typically would be. Some of this is likely due to age, something isn't right here though.

A few days ago when the Washington Capitals played the New Jersey Devils, the camera captured something strange on Alex Ovechkin's neck in the middle of of the second; take a look.

#ALLCAPS never seen this from Ovechkin, looks like cupping therapy

As caps replays points out, it looks like the marks around Ovechkin's neck is a result of cupping therapy, something that is normally used for either extreme back pain, strains or sprains among other things.

This would not only explain Ovechkin's slow start, but would really be the first visible signs of aging we've seen from the superstar who is in his late 30's. Although he is coming off a 2 goal performance against the New York Islanders last night, maybe his physical brand of hockey is starting to take a toll on his body.
