Adam Pelech is a player that throughout his career has missed considerable time with various injuries. When he's in the lineup he can be a reliable defender, the problem has become how injury prone he is.
Tonight with the New York Islanders visiting the Ottawa Senators, Pelech appears to get tangled up with Senators forward Drake Batherson, getting his wrist caught in between Batherson and the boards; take a look:
Pelech immediately went down the tunnel holding his wrist awkwardly which means New York is now down to just 4 defenders for the rest of the night as Aho left in the 1st period as well.
No official word from the islanders yet on whether or not he'll return to the game, however fans are worried he broke his wrist on the play.
Hopefully for his sake, Pelech avoids the worst case scenario, but right now it doesn't look good.
