This is something you never want to see, a Seattle Kraken hits his head off the ice at the end of a fight resulting in a very scary scene.
This is something you never want to see, an unfortunate part of fighting sometimes, especially when they're teenagers.
Yesterday, the North Bay Battalion took on the Sudbury Wolves in the back half of a home and home, things started to beat up during a scrum and Seattle Kraken prospect Ty Nelson took on Andre Anania and before the fight really starts, Nelson loses his helmet, gets tagged a few times and ends up smacking his head off the ice; take a look.
Scary scene in Sudbury tonight as #SeaKraken prospect Ty Nelson gets in a fight and smokes his head off the ice. He was clearly dazed after and obviously did not return for the 3rd period. North Bay would lose in OT, getting swept in the huge home and home vs Sudbury #OHL
Nelson was down for a moment and was clearly dazed when he got up, needing help off the ice from his teammates and trainers.
While I believe fighting belongs on hockey, that doesn't mean this kind of thing happening isn't both really scary and unfortunate. Hopefully Nelson is okay and makes his way back sooner rather than later.
