Hockey is a sport where you continuously have to put your body on the line, no matter the level. Game in and game out you decide to sacrifice your body on some level. Of course when you get to the National Hockey League, that risk ramps up 10 fold.
Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens are taking on the Winnipeg Jets and Jets star defender Josh Morrissey just left the game for repairs after taking a puck directly to the face; take a look.
It appears as though Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki was attempting to use Morrisey as a screen, but instead the puck rode up the shaft of his stick and clipped Morrisey right in the face.
Morrissey went right to the locker room for some repairs and hasn't returned to the game as of yet. Hopefully he's alright, but that looked like an awful way to get hit.
