Justice will finally be served. Yesterday, 2 former junior hockey players pled guilty to SA. This stems from an incident that took place when they player the Victoriaville Tigres of the QMJHL. At the time of the incident the team were in the middle of a playoff run in June of 2021.

Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano then went on to attend training camp and play during the preseason before being arrested. The league then made the decision to suspend both players indefinitely.

Daigle and Siciliano have both pled guilty right before the trial was set to begin. The two face up to 10 years in prison.

Former Victoriaville Tigres players Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano face up to 10 years in prison after they pleaded guilty to sexual assault today.
Crown attorney Michel Berube: «I hope that the courage of the victim in this case... will inspire anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to come forward no matter how powerful or influential their perpetrator might have been.»

The swift action of both the QMJHL and the police in this case was something that should be commended.

It was said that one of the players plead guilty after his phone was found to be admissible evidence in the case.
