On Sunday, the Winnipeg Jets made the decision to place 24-year-old defenceman Declan Chisholm on the waiver wire with the hope that he would clear and be assigned to the American Hockey League.
But as Chris Johnston points out, that didn't happen. Johnston shared in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that Declan Chisholm has been claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Wild.
Chisholm, a native of Bowmanville, Ontario has appeared in two NHL games for the Winnipeg Jets this season, recording one assist and was a plus-one. He also skated in six AHL games for Manitoba where he had five assists.
Meanwhile, in other related news, the Seattle Kraken have placed forward Devon Shore on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
Shore, 29, is a veteran of 443 games in the National Hockey League, playing for the Dallas Stars, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken.
So far this season, Shore has appeared in 21 games for the Kraken, putting up four points (one goal, three assists), four penalty minutes and is a plus-three.
