The Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks renewed hostilities at TD Garden Arena today and with just over 5 minutes left in the first period AJ Greer and Vasily Podkolzin dropped the gloves.
Greer gets the better of Podkolzin in this fight by a long shot and it's not close, take a look:
As soon as Greer gets his dominant arm free, it's over for Podkolzin. After the fact Greer celebrates as fighters tend to do after a victory. However, most people are not too happy about the fight. Greer decided to drop the gloves with the Vancouver sophomore, but only after turning down a challenge from Luke Schenn.
Greer is obviously no stranger to the rough stuff and can handle himself accordingly and provide a needed spark when called upon, however, picking and choosing who you fight rightfully leaves a bad taste in most people's mouths. Especially when that player has zero career fights.
Nonetheless, those shots were impressive.
