After big hit, Brandon Tanev and Kyle Burroughs drop the gloves
Kyle Burroughs and Brandon Tanev had a decent scrap in last night's game between Vancouver and Seattle. During the second period, Tanev and Burroughs collided right near the Vancouver blueline. Tanev maintained his balance but Burroughs fell to the ice. They decided after the collision to drop the gloves and the two players had a short fight. Burroughs had a couple of good right handed punches before dragging down Tanev to the ice. Tanev did not really get in any punches so Burroughs won the fight. After being applauded by the fans and their own teammates both players sat for five minute fighting majors. Check out the replay of the altercation.
Both of these players are tough and physical hockey players that love to compete hard. Most people aren't surprised that these two quickly dropped the gloves during a game. Tanev saw Burroughs come at him at the last moment so he was able to protect himself against the hit somewhat. The hit was what sparked the fight for sure. Glad to see both of these players weren't injured and they gave some entertainment to the fans.
