After another disappointing season in Chicago it's clear that some moves need to be made to return this team to the power house they were. The rumour mill has been going wild in Chicago of late. There were even reports that Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews could be moved ahead of Monday's trade deadline.
The rumours hit a fever pitch, after some of the Blackhawks players shared their displeasure and surprise, with the Brandon Hagel trade. This included the Blackhawks' captain, Jonathan Toews calling out the management.
Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman, tried to put the fire out on these rumours after a conversation with Patrick Kane's agent, Pat Brisson. Friedman reported, Patrick Kane won't be traded by the the NHL's trade deadline. Friedman believes not to expect to see Johnathan Toews and Seth Jones to be traded either.
The Chicago Blackhawks are having a tough season, as they sit 7th in the Pacific Division, they will certainly miss the playoffs again this season. Both Toews and Kane have no movement clauses and it sounds like neither man is willing to waive those clauses in season to facilitate a deal.
