Alexander Ovechkin KOs Andrei Svechnikov
Alexander Ovechkin is known as one of the best goal scorers in NHL history, but that he's also from time-to-time been known to drop the gloves. It doesn't happen often, only 4 times during his career to be exact. But one of those times came exactly 3-years ago to the day.
In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarter Finals matchup things got physical between Alex Ovechkin and 19-year-old Andrei Svechnikov. When both men dropped the gloves it ended up being the veteran Ovechkin who got the last laugh shutting the lights out for the teenager.
This is a classic NHL moment where the young kid gets taught to respest his elders. Unfortunately for Ovechkin, despite the 2-0 series lead the Capitals ultimately ended up losing the series in 7 games.
