Anaheim Ducks affiliate's mascot has a tough night, takes a hard fall on camera
Being a mascot isn't all fun and games, while the people under the costume often make it look easy, the job surely isn't. As part of their preseason games, the Ducks have made an attempt to incorporate their AHL Affiliates the San Diego Gulls. Not only has the team involved the players, but they even called up Gull's mascot Gulliver the Gull.
Last night as the Ducks looked to make their way onto the ice, Gulliver and the Ducks' mascot, Wild Wing, waved their team flags as the players approached the ice. As Gulliver took a step forward the mascot unfortunately lost his footing and went tumbling to the ice.
Gulliver, the San Diego Gulls mascot was having a tough time tonight
In the video you can see a couple of the Ducks players snicker as they pass by the fallen mascot. Luckily for Gulliver he was no worse for the wear and the only thing that is bruised was his ego. After the game it was expected the Ducks would assign Gulliver to the minors, because the kid clearly isn't ready.
