Anaheim Ducks give up on young star trade him in a blockbuster deal
The Anaheim Ducks and the Philadelphia Flyers have come together on a massive trade involving Cutter Gauthier and Jamie Drysdale
Sometimes NHL trades come out of left field and complete surprise everyone. That's exactly what happened tonight as the Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers pulled off a blockbuster trade.
The Flyers announced the following deal on Twitter:
We have acquired defenseman�Jamie Drysdale�and a second-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward�Cutter Gauthier.
This move brings a huge piece to the Flyers blueline and completely changes the way things are viewed. Rumors had previously worked Gauthier wasn't interested in joining the Flyers and could explain his move.
