Another head coach calls out NHL officials after embarrassingly called game
The Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins game was a game that Mike Sullivan would like to forget. During the post-game interview, Sullivan was quick to call out the refereeing and how it put his team at a huge disadvantage all game long.
Let's just say I question a fair amount of the calls.
The Penguins were on the penalty kill 9 times throughout the game and didn't seem to be able to catch a break from the referees. One thing is for sure, Ottawa Senators coach D.J. Smith is probably extremely happy that his team capitalized 4 times on the powerplay and finally won the game in the first minute of the overtime period.
Mike Sullivan joins Sheldon Keefe and Paul Maurice who have both openly questioned NHL officiating so far this season.
