Winning in the National Hockey League is one of the toughest things to do, it's not to often you see a team go from the bottom of the standings one year to a playoff team the next.
Today, the NHL shared for the first time in history, two teams have had a 40 point season-to-season increase, take a look:
For the first time in NHL history, two clubs posted a year-over-year increase of 40+ points in the same season.
Next up for the @NJDevils and @SeattleKraken: The #StanleyCup Playoffs.
The two teams, the Seattle Kraken and the New Jersey Devils have both had amazing seasons when people didn't expect them too. Seattle especially, with this being just their second year in the league.
A year ago, Seattle was second last in overall standings and New Jersey was 7th in the metropolitan division and 14th in the east, nos the Kraken finish the season comfortably in a playoff spot and the Devils look to be legitimate playoff contenders.
This is a record that is both very surprising and one that we likely won't see again.
