Austin Watson drops the gloves with Jeremy Lauzon and gets his first W of the season
Austin Watson is by far one of the NHL's most willing combatants when it comes to dropping the gloves. The Ottawa Senators forward is rarely unwilling to go with anyone at any time. We've commented multiple times on Watson being the worst enforcer in the league in the past, but at no point does that take away the respect we have for him and the job he does.
Yesterday afternoon the Senators faced off against the Nashville Predators in a matinee game. During the second period Watson paired off the Pred's Jeremy Lauzon and the two dropped the gloves. Unlike his other fights Watson got the upper hand early and landed some solid blows.
While Lauzon fired back he was no match for Watson. Watson eventually landed the takedown and went onto win his first fight of the season.
Both men received 5 minute majors for fighting. The Senators went onto win the game 3-2 as they try and climb out of a deep early season hole they've dug for themselves.
